Peek of the Night

  Alex, Pablo and Damian walked down the block of Tilden in the peek of the night. The wind lightly blew as they walked up the deserted street. They walked up to the house hands in there pockets and up the stairs to where the music was loud and the people were laughing. Pablo and Damian walked straight into the living room as Alex walked to the back of the house closing the door behind him. He walked down the crowed hallway looking for Nana. He bumped into people and tripped but then he saw her. Her hair out flat and her bangs to the side, she had on a red polo shirt with Blue low cut Levies and black Jordans. He walked quickly to catch her attention as he reached her and touched her arm.
“Hi” he said
“Hey” she said screaming and jumping on him to give him a hug. He spun her around saying...
“Happy Birthday!” He said slowly putting her down, he looked into her eyes as he left flying into the twilight zone. She smiled and started to laugh.
“Where’s the rest of the guys”
“In the living room” He answered as they walked into the living room filled with People dancing, drinking, sitting, and up against the wall talking. They found Pablo and Damian sitting in the corner talking to 2 girls. They walked to the corner passing hundreds of party animals and “Happy Birthdays”
“Hi guys” She said reaching the boys and giving each of them a hug.
“Wassup happy Birthday” said Pablo as he watched the girl he was talking to walk away. They stood there talking as song after song changed people coming and others leaving. They continued to talk about the past and up coming events. The D.J changed the song and Nana jumped up as she put her finger up ignoring Pablo talking and listing carefully  to what the song was. She turned around with a gasp and looked at Pablo he looked away as her eyes turned to look at Alex.
“Lets Dance”  she said
“But--” Alex said as Nana pulled him away from the wall and into the crowed.
She turned around and placed one hand on his shoulder and her other hand was placed in his fingers. He hessitated but placed his hand on her waist guiding her through the beat of the music. Three steps to the left and then to the right, side to side. He then turned her around as she spinned and came back into her place. They Continued to dance the song changed and he moved her closer to his body as they walked around in circles moving their hips side to side. Nana began to laugh as she saw Pablo come in from the side lines and danced by him self with one hand in the air and the other on his stomach. Alex shook his head as he turned her around, she backed up and moved as he placed both hands on her waist. Nana moved her hair back as she bent over a little. she stood back up  against  Alex.
“El tra tra tra tra”
The song continued Nana turned back around now face to face with Alex. Alex pulled her closer to him as his hand guided her lower back. The beat went faster as they followed along their hips moving side to side, as they spinned in circles.  She laughed as Alex Smiled and the song ended. Alex walked back the corner were Pablo and Damian were Smiling at him and leaned on the wall. Pablo and Damian both looked at Alex laughing.
“Shut up!” he said as he glared the other way trying to ignore their laughter.
“Ugh, we know you like her! Just stop being such a little girl and ask her out” said Pablo as he looked at Alex.
“Yea but...who every said she liked me back, we can never be more then just friends” He replied watching Nana dance with another one of her friends at the party. Alex walked away into the crowed and down the hall into one of the bed rooms. He sat there for a while thinking of what to do.
Time had gone by and the house started to get empty, Alex walked out of the room a little worried at the fact that it got a little quite. He walked down the hall past a group of people and into the living room where he found Pablo and Damian in the same spot that he left them but this time with Brian and 2 girls. Alex walked up to them as he cut through there conversation and leaned against the wall.
“Oh wassup, where have you been” Brian said giving Alex a pound.
“Na I’ve been here I just needed to be alone for a while”
“He’s having girlfriend problems” said Damian
“Shut up nigga” Alex said smiling a little
“What ever you know its true” Said Pablo laughing. A Sudden akward silence filled the circle as Alex found the need to look for Nana. He looked around and found her in the corner with what he realized was Robert. He stood up off the wall and  taped Damian on his arm.
“Yo isn’t that Robert over there”
Everyone looked over to the corner.
“Yea so..” Said Pablo carelessly
“What do you mean so.. Where did he come from” He replied Brian smiled as he watched Alex’s  face flush and turn a slight color red.
“I told you you should of mad the move” Pablo said shrugging his shoulders
“UGH! Shut up!!!!”
Alex walled away into the end of the hallway and out the door slamming it behind him. He ran down the stairs and outside where he walked down Tilden.
Nana pushed Robert away from her as she looked to see what had happend, she looked around the living room to see who was missing and saw that Alex was no longer there.
“Brian Wheres Alex?” She asked
“He Left”
“Why?!”
“Not Sure” he replied
Nana Walked out of the coroner and to the door
“Yo where you going” said Robert
“To go get him”
“What?.. No forget him come back over here” He said demanding
She stood there puzzled
“NO! Forget you” she said walking out the door and down the stairs
She walked outside and looked down the hall as she saw Alex walking away
“Yo where you going”
“Home!” he yelled back to her
“Come back here” She said
Alex hessitaited but turned around and walked back to her. When he reached her he didn’t say anything but just stood there.
“Why were you leaving?” She asked
“I Don’t Know”
“Don’t lie to me, you know I don’t like being lied to. Why were you leaving”
“I don’t know I just...” he replied looking down at the ground and then at her
“What happend?” she asked once again
“Nothing!” he said yelling
“Fine then leave..Bye no one wants you here” she said walking away
“I didn’t mean it that way” he said grabbing her arm  
“Whatever Alex... You know you haven’t been the same, like your hiding something from me but...”
“No, its not like that its just-”
“Its just what? What is it, huh what?” She asked cutting him off
“I’m just having a hard time-”
“Look I don’t have time for your excuses-”
Alex sighed as he cut her off , he grabbed her waist and pulled her close to him as the lightly kissed her.
